| FlexX Amongst Top 100 Most-Cited Articles in Fifty Years of J.Mol.Biol. Existence! |

In their 50 years special jubilee issue (Vol.385, Issue 1 of Jan 9th, 2009), the Journal of Molecular Biology features the Top 100 most-cited articles from the journal. BioSolveIT congratulates the autors and is proud that the original 1996 FlexX ligand docking article (Rarey, Kramer, Lengauer, Klebe; JMB 1996 261, 470ff.) has made it to rank 83 of JMB citations in all time. The original article by Rarey et al. was the first peer-reviewed article describing the algorithmic basics of the multiple award winning protein-ligand docking software FlexX. FlexX is now in its 12th year of existence and is continuously optimized. The latest release features advanced water and metal treatment and a sophisticated yet blindingly easy graphical user interface.
